FARR CERTIFIED RECOVERY RESIDENCE
FARR CERTIFIED RECOVERY RESIDENCE
Serenity is committed to serving veterans and recovering addicts by helping them establish and maintain a life without the use of drugs or alcohol. We believe in the 12-steps and require our residents to actively participate in a 12-step program.
We believe in the importance of surrounding yourself with like-minded people. Our sober living community consists of responsible, respectful and recovery-driven individuals. Weekly house meetings and personal accountability is required. Our sober residences provide guidance that leads to freedom from our addiction. We currently have 3 recovery residences each offering their own unique style and accommodations. The properties boast large private yards where we welcome sober activities such as volleyball, horse shoes, bean bag toss, bon fires and BBQ events. We also encourage group activities such as boating, fishing, community events and cook-outs.
Our sober houses are located downtown Fort Pierce in the Historical District. All three residences are within walking distance of each other and are equipped with alarm systems and cameras for accountability purposes. The properties are also enclosed with a six foot high fence for extra privacy. We offer affordable sober living close to bus lines for easy access to job opportunities.
We understand the financial burdens we are faced with following the destruction from our addiction. We have created exclusive relationships within the community to offer one-on-one mentorship when trying to regain residency, proper identification, EBT applications and court services. We can also offer assistance with employment and health care services such as outpatient treatment and medication refills.
The Florida Association of Recovery Residences (FARR) was founded in 2011 out of the need to evaluate and monitor standards-based recovery support services provided in community-based, residential settings throughout Florida. FARR is the Florida Affiliate of the National Alliance for Recovery Residences (NARR).
FARR is committed to providing fair, impartial support and encouragement to recovery residence providers who express a willingness to achieve compliance with the NARR Standard and FARR Code of Ethics. FARR is further committed to participate in academic research studies focused on ROSC, Recovery Management, and residents’ personal development of Recovery Capital.
The FARR grievance process is intended for serious and relevant issues, please give us an opportunity to better serve you by addressing your concerns with a program administrator or house manager before filing a formal grievance with FARR. Thank you.
The industry has evolved to become far more professional and intentional in its language, primarily through the efforts of the National Alliance for Recovery Residences (NARR). What was once known as a halfway house, three-quarter house, transitional house or sober living home now falls under the heading of recovery residence.
